Alfred Paul Brandt
1 December 1895 --- 17 November 1983

Alfred Paul Brandt, the son of Wilhelm and Ottelie Ortlieb Brandt was born on Dec. 1, 1895 in Germany. He grew up and received his early education in Germany. In 1912, he came to the United States and settled on a farm in the LuVerne area, where he lived until 1927, when he moved to Eagle Grove, where he farmed until retiring. For the past two years, he had lived in Webster City. He died at the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City, Iowa on Thursday, Nov. 17, 1983 at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 17 days.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Selma Zucke of Livonia, Mich., and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother.

Funeral services for Alfred Paul Brandt, 87, were held on Monday, Nov. 21, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Rev. Kenneth Torvik officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Sunday.
