Ivan Rasmussen, 67, Park View Terrace, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A memorial service will be at 8:30 p.m. at the Rux Funeral Home in Spencer with the Rev. James Dillinger, Church of Christ, officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rux Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield, Iowa.

Mr. Rasmussen was born March 25, 1910 in Clarion, Iowa. He received his education in Goldfield, Iowa, and married Gladys Penfield Aug. 23, 1930 in Clarion, Iowa. They farmed in the Goldfield area for 23 years and moved to Swea City, Iowa, where they farmed until 1958 when they moved to Marshfield.

He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Bohy, Route 3, Marshfield; two sons, Daniel and Jerry, both of Des Moines, Iowa, and eight grandchildren. Predeceased are two brothers, one sister, and his parents, Mr and Mrs. P. A. Rasmussen.

Funeral services were held for Ivan Rasmussen Thursday, July 7, 1977 at the Eyler Funeral Home with the services conducted by Rev. Owen Wilmot. Organist was Mrs. A. M. Andrews.

Casketbearers were Michael Rasmussen, Jeffrey Rasmussen, Don Bohy, Douglas Reckner, Jack Prochazka and Jeff Hanson.

Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Ivan Rasmussen, son of P. A. and Minnie Rasmussen, was born on March 25, 1910 at Goldfield, Iowa. He was educated at Goldfield and on June 18, 1977 attended a 50 year anniversary of his class.

He married Gladys Penfield on August 23, 1930 at Clarion, Ia. They farmed west of Goldfield for 23 years before moving to Swea City, Iowa where they lived until 1959 when they moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin. Mr. Rasmussen departed this life at the St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield on July 4, 1977. He had attained the age of 67 years. He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Marshfield, Wisconsin, a daughter, Mrs. Don (Shirley) Bohy of Marshfield, Wisconsin, 2 sons, Daniel and Jerry, both of Des Moines, and 8 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Gugisburg of Renwick and Mrs. Fern Wig of Goldfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
