Wm. Brown’s remains will be brought here from San Francisco. The burial will be at Goldfield.

Ed. Polmateer was called here from Chokio, Minn., by the death of his step-son, William Brown.

W. O. L. Brown, a former Boone Township boy, died suddenly at his home in San Francisco, Cal., last Friday night. The remains are being shipped to Goldfield where the funeral will be held at the Baptist church at two o’clock Friday afternoon. E. G. Polmateer of Chokio, Minn., W. V. and Lloyd Pool of Algona and Tom Brown of Iowa City were here the first of the week making arrangements for the funeral.

Mr. Brown is survived by a son and a daughter, one brother, Tom, of Iowa City, and one sister, Mrs. W. V. Pool of Algona, E. G. Polmateer being his stepfather.

Goldfield

The funeral services for Wm. Brown, formerly a resident of Luni, whose remains were brought here from California for burial was held at the Baptist church Friday, Rev. J. S. Nicholson giving the sermon. A number of his relatives from Iowa city were present.

W. O. L. Brown was born in Boone township, Wright county, Iowa, Jan. 17, 1885, and died in San Francisco, Calif., Aug. 12, 1927, aged 42 years, six months and 25 days.

Mr. Brown leaves to mourn his death two children, a daughter, Bonita and a son, Oliver, one sister, Mrs. Pool, and one brother, Thomas Brown, and his step-father, Edward Polmateer, besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Goldfield Friday, Aug. 19, at 2 p. m., conducted by Rev. J. S. Nicholson. Interment was made in Glenwood cemetery.

Out of town people in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brown and Vonetta and Oliver Brown of Iowa City, Ed. Polmateer of Chokio, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Will Poole [Pool] and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Poole [Pool] of Algona, Mrs. Phoebe Benedict and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Polmateer of Renwick and Mrs. Bernett of Webster City.
