Lola M. (Losee) Bernard

Lola M. Bernard, 83, of Cedar Falls Health Care Center, formerly of Eagle Grove, died Friday, April 26, at the care center of natural causes. She was born March 17, 1908, in Frederika, daughter of Harry M. and Amy L. Mowatt Losee. She married Claude Bernard in Waterloo. They were later divorced. She was employed at Voss' Floor Covering in Eagle Grove, before retiring in 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Jack R. and Dean E., both of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl E. Losee of Waterloo, Vernon C. Losee of Ackley, and LuVerne M. Losee of Baton Rouge, La.; and two sisters, Betty J. Jacobson of Eagle Grove, and Evelyn B. Eastman of Cedar Falls; she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Mae and Lela Clarke.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Alcock Cemetery, Frederika. Friends may call at the church an hour before services. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
