Myrtle (Dybsand) Gunderson Willms
8 November 1907 --- 26 September 1972

Funeral services for Mrs. Edward Willms, 65, of Jefferson were held at l:30 p.m. Friday, September 29 at Our Savior's Lutheran church at Sacred Heart, Minn. Rev. Justin Flak officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa.

Mrs. Willms died Tuesday September 26, 1972 at a Sioux City hospital. She was born November 8, 1907, at Sacred Heart, the former Myrtle Dybsand. She was married to Mr. Willms November 19, 1959, at Akron. They lived at Akron and Hawarden before moving to Jefferson six months ago.

Survivors are her husband, and four sisters, Mrs. Juel Brelie, Mrs. Magnas Lanning, Mrs. Julia Hubert and Mrs. Olga Clark, all residing in Minnesota.

Services for Myrtle Dysband Willms were held at the Schroeder Chapel at Akron, Iowa, September 28, 1972, and at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, September 29, at Sacred Heart, Minn., Pastor Justin Flak officiated. Special music consisted of two solos, one of which was her favorite, "How Great Thou Art", sung by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Agre, accompanied by Mrs. Helen Nelson on the organ. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery in Sacred Heart.

Casketbearers were James Pearson, Maurice Hubert, Joe Arhus, Palmer Brelie, Otis Stavne and Palmer Dybsand.

Myrtle had attained the age of 64 years, 10 months and 18 days. She was hospitalized from September 21 to September 26 at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, where she passed away.

Myrtle Dybsand Willms was born to Per and Emilie Dybsand, November 18, 1907, in Ericson Township, Renville County, Sacred Heart, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in Our Savior's Lutheran
Church by Rev. Nels Giere. She made her home at Marshall, Minn., and in Hawarden, Iowa, where she married George S. Gunderson who passed away in 1952, and later married Edward J. Willms at Akron. She was a member of various lodges. Preceding her in death were her parents, three sister and two brothers.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Ed Willms, his daughter Claudia Ann, her two sons, Robert and Mark, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.

Attending the funeral were relatives and friends from Colorado, Utah, North Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota.
