Paul Theodore Hansel
23 April 1876 --- 28 February 1956

Paul Theodore Hansel, son of Wm. and Lizitte Hansel, was born in La Salle County near Grand Ridge, Illinois April 23, 1876. He passed away at his home after a lingering illness Feb. 28, 1956.

At the age of six months, he came with his parents to a farm in Newark Twp. near Vincent, Iowa. He has been a permanent resident of the community.

He was united in marriage to Anna Lear August 28, 1907. To this union five children were born, three of who are deceased, Pauline, Allerton, and Arleen.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Evelyn, Mrs. Emory Johnson of Popejoy, Iowa, and one son, Harold, living at home, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Sacquety Chapel with Rev. T. J. Severtson of Renwick officiating. Casket bearers were Ervin Michalson, J. E. Hallagan, Ervin Peterson, E. H. Patte, D. J. Kelly, and Norris Lund. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
