Anna Lear Hansel
26 September 1889 --- 2 March 1973

Anna Hansel, daughter of Sigbourn and Christina Hovde Lear, was born September 26, 1889 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, where she attended the local schools.

Anna was a young girl when her parents passed away and at that time she made her home with a family near Randall, Ia. until she was old enough to find work.

On August 28, 1907, Anna was united in marriage to Paul Hansel in Vincent, and to this union five children were born. The family settled on a farm near Vincent following their marriage and continued to live there throughout their lives. A son, Harold, lived with his mother and cared for her until her last illness. She had been a patient in the Humboldt Community Hospital two weeks before being moved to the Sisson Nursing Home two days before her death on Friday, March 2. She was 83 years, 5 months, and 6 days of age at the time of her passing. She was a member of the South Enes Lutheran Church, Vincent.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on February 28, 1956; two daughters, Pauline, and Arline; and one son, Allerton.

She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter (Evelyn), Mrs. Emory Johnson of Hampton; Harold at home; and Roger of Hardy; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Henry Lear of Ceres, Calif.; one half-brother, Harold Helgeson of Tacoma, Wash.; and one half-sister, Alma Gardner of Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Marlin Ingebretson of the Thor Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
