MARIE BLANCHE CLAGETT
Marie Blanche Pack was born on September 22, 1891, at her grandparents' ranch in Pine Valley, Nev., to Richard and Belle Bruffey Pack. As a child, she and her parents lived in Missouri where she received her education. She was baptized at the age of 15 in the Methodist Church of Albany, Mo. She married James W. Clagett of Denmark, Ohio, on August 6, 1911. The family lived in Eagle Grove for many years. She was an honorary member of the Martha Circle of the Eagle Grove United Methodist Church. After suffering two strokes, she entered the Clarion Care Center in November of 1973.

Marie Clagett died December 16, 1989, at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968; sons, Carl and James; stepdaughter, Ida Gibson; and a sister Mercie Hall. She is survived by two sons, Richard and Grayson, and their wives, Margaret and Charlotte; grandchildren, Merry Jean Newton, Linda Grudi, James Clagett, Leta Holden, Alice Stetz, and Kyle Gibson; and great-grandchildren and their families.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on December 19 at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Scott C. Hall officiated and burial was in Troy Cemetery.
