Ruth Winfrey Wilson
9 November 1894 --- 3 July 1974

Ruth Winfrey was born November 9, 1894, the daughter of James and Allie Huff Winfrey, at Carrollton, Missouri. She received her education in Missouri. She was united in marriage to Edward G. Wilson of Carrollton, on November 11, 1914 at Carrollton. The couple lived there until moving to Kansas City, Mo. in 1941. They moved to Goldfield in 1946, where Mr. Wilson operated a Plumbing and Heating Shop.

Mrs. Wilson died suddenly while on a trip to a grandson's wedding. She is survived by her husband, two sons: Walter Wilson, Clear Lake; Paul Wilson, Goldfield; two daughters: Berniece, Mrs. S. E. Brockmeier, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Kathleen Maddux, Houston, Tex.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the United Methodist Church, W.M.S., W.S.C.S. and Dorcas Circle.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 6, at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Goldfield. Rev. George Den Hartog officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Mrs. Edward G. Wilson, 79, died at the Des Moines Airport July 3 following a sudden illness. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in United Methodist Church with burial in Glenwood Cemetery.

Surviving are the widower; sons: Paul, Goldfield; and Walter, Clear Lake; daughters: Mrs. S. E. Brockmeier, Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs. Kathleen Maddux, Houston, Tex.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Smith of Westfield, Mass., arrived Monday for a visit with Ed Wilson and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Brockmeir, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Brockmeir and Todd of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Kathleen Maddux, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Maddux of Houston, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Chris Merrick of Nacogdoches, Tex. and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wilson of Clear Lake spent several days in the Ed Wilson home called by the death of Mrs. Wilson.
