Amanda Henrietta Lehman died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort
Dodge, Iowa, at the age of 95. Survivors include four sons and their spouses, Clarence and Barbara
Lehman, Badger, Iowa; Donald and Louanna Lehman, Eagle Grove, Iowa; Earl and Patricia Lehman, Fremont, Neb.; and Alan and Joyce Lehman, Laurens, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lorenz Lehman; two brothers; and five sisters.

Amanda Henrietta Licht was born June 21, 1906, in Deer Creek Township where she attended Trinity
Lutheran School. On March 3, 1935, she married Lorenz Lehman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. After their marriage, the couple made their home on a farm near Fort Dodge, moving to the Vincent, Iowa, area in 1937. They retired from farming in 1975 and continued to live on the farm. After her husband's death in 1981, she continued to live on the farm until 1986 when she moved to Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. She is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 10, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church with Reverend Bill Van Nostrand, rural Vincent, officiating. Burial was held in the Colfax Township Cemetery. Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Fort Dodge was in charge of arrangements.
