Gladys Warner, 79, of Webster City, died Friday, Oct. 26th at Hamilton County Hospital where she had been a patient for 4-1/2 weeks. She had been in ill health for two months.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 on Monday, Oct. 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City with Rev. Raymond Roden and Rev. David LeMaster officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Gladys Beatrice Berven, daughter of John and Martha Berven, was born Sept. 9, 1905 at Eagle Grove and was educated at Norway Township School and graduated at Eagle Grove High School. She then taught at Norway Township School for a short time. On March 7, 1932, she was united in marriage to Robert Warner at Thor. The couple farmed in the Eagle Grove - Thor area. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968. In the fall of that year, she moved to Webster City where she resided at the time of her death.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jean, and Leonard Blanchard of Webster City; four grandchildren, Christine, Rhonda, LeAnn, and Brian Blanchard. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.
