Bertha (Groseth) Rud Berg

BERESFORD, S.D. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Bethesda Home Chapel for Bertha Rud Berg, 86, who died Friday in a Sioux Falls hospital. Mrs. Rud Berg was born Jan. 29, 1887, in Centerville. She was married to Martin J. Rud Sept. 16, 1911, in Centerville where the couple resided until moving to Sioux Falls in 1935. Mr. Rud died in 1952. In 1966 she married Jacob Berg at Beresford and then moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa. Mr. Berg died in 1967. Since 1967 she has resided at Bethesda Home.

Survivors include a son, J. Martel Rud, Edina, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Balstad, Vuga, Tanzania, East Africa; Mrs. Stan Fillingsness, Beresford, and Mrs. Robert C. Shelton, St. Louis, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
