Emanuel Larson
22 October 1892 --- 27 August 1968

Emanuel Larson, 75, died at Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge Tuesday morning, where he was admitted late Monday evening. He had not been well for some time.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in charge of Rev. H. W. Schiller. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery, and Clarence Shurtz Post of the American Legion will conduct graveside services.

Mr. Larson is survived by his wife, and three sons, Irven, Dakota City; Jack, Oskaloosa; Leonard, Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. George Scott, Eagle Grove; nine grandchildren, one brother, Lars, Eagle Grove; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Pederson, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Rena Wright, Milwaukee, Wis.; and Mrs. Rebecca Bernard, Webster City.

Mr. Larson was born on a farm near Webster City and attended the Oak Glen and White Fox rural schools. He entered the U.S. Army during World War I and served overseas. He married Caroline Chesling at Hardy and the couple farmed in the area for two years, moving then to Mankato, Minn., where he worked in a flour mill. In 1928 they returned to Eagle Grove where he was employed as a painter and carpenter. Mrs. Larson died in 1930. In 1931, he married Caroline O. Larson. Mr. Larson retired in 1958.

Mr. Larson was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the VFW.
