Gilbert H. Koepke
21 August 1884 --- 14 February 1968

Gilbert H. Koepke was born Aug 21, 1881 in Grant County, Minn. He died Wednesday, Feb. 14, in Humboldt.

He was married in 1909 to Hilda Anderson at Elbow Lake, Minn. They farmed for a few years and in 1924 moved to Eagle Grove. Mr. Koepke was employed in hardware stores here for many years, and also had his own plumbing shop in later years. He retired in 1961. He was a resident of the Rotary Ann Home for three and one-half years and lived with his son-in-law and daughter in Gilmore City the past year and a half.

Mr. Koepke is survived by two daughters, Patricia, Mrs. Frances Hart, of Gilmore City, and Mrs. Janice Franklin of Ames, two sons, Ray of Gardena, Calif., and Milton of Rockville, Md.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, two brothers, Victor of Donnely, Minn., (??) of Minneapolis, and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Andert of Waconia, Minn., and Alice Dwinnell of Bronton, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one daughter, and two brothers.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Mrs. Hart and Mrs. Franklin were here to attend the funeral services.
