Vernon Joseph Jensen
6 June 1927 --- 24 January 1968

Funeral services for Vernon "Bud" Joseph Jensen, who died late Wednesday evening Jan. 24th at his home were held Saturday afternoon in the First Methodist Church with Rev. Bernard Olson officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, and Clarence Shurtz Post gave the military rites.

Masonic services were held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral home Friday evening.

Mr. Jensen was born June 6, 1927 in Eagle Grove to parents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jensen. He was educated in the Eagle Grove schools and enlisted in the U. S. Army. He served with the occupational forces in Korea and afterwards returned to his home in Eagle Grove. For the past 5 years he had been employed at Cal's Super Valu and was manager of the produce department.

In 1953 he was married to Mary Ellen Lindsay, and they became parents of two sons and a daughter, David, Marty, and LuAnn. In addition to his family and his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Kenneth, and Lowell.

He was a member of the Methodist church, the Masonic Lodge, White Shrine, and Order of Eastern Star.
