Edith Aurelia Dawley Morrison
4 September 1881 --- 14 December 1962

Edith A. Dawley, daughter of H. J. and Mary Clark Dawley, was born Sept. 4, 1881 at Sibley, Iowa, and died at her home in Eagle Grove, Dec. 14, 1962.

When only a month old she moved with her parents to Charles City, Iowa. It was there that she spent her youth, attending the public schools and the Charles City college. June 13, 1906, she was united in marriage to Warren W. Morrison and to this union was born one daughter, Berlynn, now Mrs. A. E. Woodke of Eagle Grove. In 1946 she and her husband moved from Charles City to Eagle Grove to be near their daughter. She was a member of the Methodist church and was active in WSCS and WCTU as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her husband Warren W. Morrison, daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Woodke, relatives and friends. Her parents and three brothers preceded her in death.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1962 at 2 p.m. at the Kastler Funeral Home with Rev. Lyle W. Lieder officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Lyle Lieder, soloist and Mrs. George DeForest, pianist. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery. The casket bearers were Harry J. Lalor, James Ralston, Faye Thompson, George DeForest, James McCart, and Lewis Solheim.
