William Frederick Beuck
24 February 1877 --- 7 June 1957

William Frederick Beuck was born on Feb. 24, 1877, in Barrington, Ill. to Christian and Anna Beuck. In infancy he was baptized in the Lutheran Church. When he was a small boy, he, together with his parents, moved to Chicago, Ill. where he attended public schools and grew to manhood. In 1899, he enlisted in the Spanish American War and served with Company E. 5th U.S. Immunes, in Santiago, Cuba.

After serving his country, he returned to Chicago and shortly thereafter, he was united in marriage to Rose Klein, who is now deceased. To this union, one son John was born. For many years Mr. Beuck was in the real estate business in Chicago. On March 14, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., he was united in marriage to Emma Willard of Eagle Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Beuck traveled together for several years, during which time Mr. Beuck was a representative of the Galena Manufacturing Company of Galena, Ill. They returned to Eagle Grove to make their home in the spring of 1933. He was extremely active in Iowa in political circles and served as doorkeeper in the House of Representatives for four sessions and one special session of the Iowa Legislature.

For the past few years, Mr. Beuck's health had been falling, due to a neuritis illness. On May 26 of this year, he fell in his home on South Lucas Ave and broke his leg. He was taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge and was returned to his home on June 2. During the evening of June 7 he took a turn for the worse and passed away about 9:30 that evening.

Mr. Bueck is survived by his wife, Emma, one son, John, many relatives and a host of friends were: Rep. Clark McNeal, State Senator John Walker, John Nelson, Robert Blue, Stan Bragdon and M. B. Crabbe. Attending the funeral from out of town was Mrs. E. R. Foster of Webster City, sister of Mrs. Beuck.
