Frank D. Newcomb, 72, died late Wednesday evening July 6th at his farm home south of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral home, with the Rev. Bernard Olson, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Newcomb is survived by his wife, one son, Vernon and one daughter, Mrs. John Rowen, and three grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Ed Newcomb of Eagle Grove, Homer of Tucson, Ariz., and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Wernet of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Grace Lillebridge of Alden, Minn., who came for the funeral services.

Mr. Newcomb was a lifelong resident of Troy Township and had farmed in this area all his life. He retired from active farming in 1950.
