Victor Frederick Shadle
3 November 1899 --- 8 February 1966

Victor Fredrick Shadle was born November 3, 1899 at Ingraham, Illinois to Isaac and Lavina Rice Shadle. Was raised in that community and attended school there.

In 1923 he came to the Eagle Grove community. In 1927 he was united in marriage to Grace May Tate. To this union four children were born: Dorman of Dakota City; Norma, Mrs. Robert Pepper, of Denver, Colorado; Daniel of Aurora, Illinois and Mary Lou, Mrs. Jesse Bert Smith, of Humboldt.

Mr. Shadle was engaged in farming until 1943 when he started employment with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. Mr. Shadle was a member of the AFL-CIO, Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Union, and Church of the Open Bible.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his wife, four children, 11 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Harry E. Beucke of Urbana, Illinois.

Mr. Shadle died Feb. 9th in the Clarion hospital and funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 12th in the Church of the Open Bible.
