Florine Braumann Thorn
23 April 1928 --- 8 August 1964

Mrs. Florine Thorn, 36, died Saturday evening in St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minnesota. She had been very ill for some time at Mercy hospital, Ft. Dodge and was moved to Rochester for further care. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mrs. Thorn is survived by her husband and two daughters, Nancy Marie, 16, and Marcia Ann, 11 years old, her father, Floyd Brauman [n] of Eagle Grove, one brother Robert Brauman of Cedar Rapids, and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Tilghman of this city and Mrs. Robert Rogers of Hampton.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in Sacred Heart church in charge of Rev. Francis Phelan. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. The rosary was recited Monday evening at 8:15 at the Sandvig Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thorn was born April 23, 1928 in Thor. She attended the Eagle Grove schools and on May 23, 1946 was married to Robert Thorn in Eagle Grove. For the past six years she had been employed at the Boone Valley Egg Division in Eagle Grove.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughter of America.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one brother, and one sister.

Relatives attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Nelson of Minneapolis and Miss Marcella Mitchell of Mason City.
