William Allen Slater
17 November 1877 --- 18 January 1964William A. Slater, 86, died at the Taylor Nursing Home Saturday following a long illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Kastler Funeral Home in charge of Dr. Lloyd Meyer. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
Mr. Slater is survived by his wife, one son, Roger Slater, of Eagle Grove; four stepchildren, Mrs. Phillip Trusty and Donald Whistler of Eagle Grove; Mrs. George Adams of Mankato, Minn., and Harold Whistler of Albuquerque, New Mex., and one sister Mrs. Tillie Ponuing of Taylorville, Ill.
