1859 --- May 28, 1890

Mr. G. W. [George William] Longhenry, a respected citizen of this place, and who was foreman of the Northwestern car repairers, died at his residence in the northwest part of town at 1 o'clock last Wednesday morning, after an illness of a few days. Mr. Longhenry had many friends here, and with the afflicted wife and three children mourn the loss of a kind friend and loving husband and father. His age was about 30 years and the demise was from peritonitis and a complication of other diseases. The remains were conveyed to Stanhope for burial, the sad ceremonies taking place there yesterday.
