MOTHER OF MRS. C. W. OSLUND DIED LAST FRIDAY MORNING

Last rites were held for Mrs. Mary Poe Longhenry in the C. W. Oslund home Sunday at 10 o'clock with the Rev. L. A. Hunsley in charge.

Mary Poe was born on January 15, 1862, at Terre Haute, Ind. She moved with her parents to near Boone, Iowa, when only 3 years old, in which vicinity she lived until her marriage to William Longhenry on March 3, 1886. To this union one child was born. After her marriage she lived in Boone and Eagle Grove where her husband passed away May 28, 1890. She moved back to the vicinity of Boone at Stratford with her family where they resided until her daughter's marriage and with whom she thereafter made her home. She came with them to Charter Oak in January 1911 where she had resided until she passed away last Friday morning at 6:30.

Early in her youth she attended the Baptist church but did not affiliate with that denomination until in 1905 when she joined the Baptist church at Stratford, Iowa.

She also was one of the charter members of the Charter Oak Lodge of Royal Neighbors, and through the years has always endeavored to practice the principles of that organization.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Carl W. Oslund of Charter Oak, two step-sons, John and George Longhenry of Stratford, one sister, Mrs. Clara Frazier of Portland, Oregon and two grandchildren.

The pall bearers were Glenn Harris, Arnold Schmidt, Irvin King, Fred Schroeder and Fred Kolm and Franz Groth. Interment was made in the Ridgeport Cemetery, Boone, Iowa, where the R. N. A. Oak Camp No. 984 took part in the service.
