Mrs. Harold Lesteberg, 70, died following a sudden illness at her home Friday evening.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church with burial in Glenwood Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, one son and one daughter, Robert Braden, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Miss Beverly Braden, San Leandro, Calif., three grandchildren and a brother, A. N. Rossman, Storm Lake.

Viola Rossman was born in Wright County and attended Dows schools. She moved to Goldfield 48 years ago and married Glen Braden in 1924. He died in 1954. In 1960 she married Harold Lesteberg. Mrs. Lesteberg had been employed for several years at the Whyte Motor Company and more recently at Goldfield State Bank where she worked 14 years before retiring. She served as United Methodist Church organist for 33 years and was a member of the WSCS and the Bayview Club.

Obituary

Viola B. Lesteberg, daughter of Frank and Elsie Huntley Rossman, was born in Wright County, Iowa on May 18, 1902 and attended the Dows Public Schools. She lived in this community for 22 years.

On June 15 [16], 1924 she was united in marriage to Glenn Braden at Dows, and to this union one son, Robert, and one daughter, Beverly, were born. They made their home in Goldfield.

Mr. Braden preceded her in death in 1954.

On June 4, 1960, she was united in marriage to Harold Lesteberg in Goldfield. She had lived in the Goldfield community for 48 years and worked seven years for Whyte Motor Company before being employed at the Goldfield State Bank for 14 years.

Viola was a member of the Goldfield United Methodist Church and had served as an organist there for 33 years. She also was a member of the W.S.C.S. and the Bayview Club.

She passed away Friday evening, December 1, 1972 in her home in Goldfield following a short illness. She was 70 years, 6 months and 13 days of age at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Carlyle Rossman, and her first husband, Glenn, in 1954.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Harold; one son, Robert Braden of Sioux Falls, S. Dak.; one daughter, Beverly Braden of San Leandro, Calif.; one stepdaughter (Dolores) Mrs. George Shrader of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren and one brother, A. N. Rossman of Storm Lake.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 4 at 2:00 p. m. in the United Methodist Church, Goldfield, with Rev. George Den Hartog officiating. Interment was held in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
