A memorial service for Alvin Rossman will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 9, at First United Methodist Church, 503 Walnut Street, Windsor.

Services for Alvin Rossman, 69, Denver, Colo., were held March 6 at the Sliefert Funeral Home. Rev. Don Callen officiated. Burial was held in Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Sliefert Funeral Home.

He died March 3, 1987 at Denver, Colo.

Rossman, the son of Frank and Elsie (Huntley) Rossman, was born Sept. 2, 1917 at Dows. He graduated from Dows High School in 1935 and later attended business school in Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On June 15, 1951 [June 13, 1953], he married Jeannette Kruger at Jackson, Minn. They owned and operated the Lake Cafe, Storm Lake, before moving to Denver, Colo.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife; two sons — Steve Rossman, Windsor, Colo, and Gary Rossman, Green Bay, Wisc. and three grandchildren.
