Wesley H. Jones, 69, Goldfield, died at Veterans Hospital, Knoxville, Wednesday morning; he had been a patient there for the past six months. Services were at 1:30 p.m., Friday at United Methodist Church, with burial in Glenwood Cemetery. Military graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion Post of Goldfield.

Surviving are cousins.

Mr. Jones was born in Goldfield and attended the schools there. He served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1943.

Obituary

Wesley Howard Jones was born North of Goldfield, Iowa April 16, 1905, the son of Howard and Edith Cameron Jones.

He lived his whole life in the same neighborhood except for the time spent in the army in World War II.

He was in business with his father, buying and selling grain, later as a farmhand and doing jobs around town.

He passed away on Wednesday, December 18, at the Veteran's Hospital, Knoxville, Iowa at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 2 days.

He is survived by cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Valeda [Veleda], and an infant brother.

He was a resident of the Veteran's Hospital for six months prior to his death.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Goldfield. Rev. George W. Den Hartog officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
