W. C. DORSEY DEAD
Brother of Mrs. Al Andrews of This City died at Eagle Grove, Thursday

Mr. W. C. Dorsey, proprietor of the Eagle Grove Produce House, died at his home in this city Thursday evening at 7 o'clock p. m. He had been seriously sick but a few days although he had been ailing for nearly a year. The funeral services were held at his home in this city Thursday evening at 7 o'clock p.m. He had been seriously sick but a few days although he had been ailing for nearly a year. The funeral services were held at his home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. A. C. Zellhoefer conducting the services assisted by Kubitschek Bros., funeral directors. The remains were immediately taken to Blair, Nebr. for burial by the side of his father.

William C. Dorsey was born near Moundsville, Va., August 8, 1853. He married Maggie J. Scott of Janesville, Ohio, Jan. 19, 1881. Two children were born, one dying in infancy and the other, Orton S. Dorsey survives, living near Bradshaw, Neb. Mrs. Maggie Scott Dorsey died Nov. 25, 1883. Mr. Dorsey had removed to Illinois before the death of his first wife. He went from there to Blair, Neb. in the spring of 1892 and after living there several years he removed to Hancock county where he married Miss Cora I. Clark, Feb. 24, 1900. Two daughters survive this union, Dora J. and Genevieve. The deceased is survived by his aged mother, his wife, two daughters, one son, four brothers and one sister.

Mr. Dorsey came to Eagle Grove about a year ago and since that time had built quite a business in the produce line. He had made many friends while here and his death was a surprise and a shock to the community. The Eagle extends merited sympathy to the sorrowing relatives. Mrs. Dorsey's father, J.B. Clark of Gridley, Kansas, is here and after the business has been closed will take the family with him to make their future home at Gridley.
