Baby Girl Dies
Jackalene Pearl Root, age 10 months, 6 days, died Thursday, Feb. 9. at 4 o'clock at Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo of acute intestinal flu, after being sick about 24 hours. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Root, three brothers, Leonard, 10; Lynal, 8; Richard, 5, and a twin sister, Jolene; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Root, Waterloo; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. August Grandgeorge of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 9 a. m. from Kearns Garden Chapel by Rev. C. S. Weigel, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Burial at Eagle Grove.
