Lucy Anna (Fritz) Armstrong
12 January 1903 ---- 19 July 1951

Dies Thursday at Iowa City Hospital
Mrs. Lucy A. Armstrong, 48, resident of Clarion for the past years, died at Iowa City Thursday. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Eyler funeral home, Rev. Paul L. Stacy, pastor of the Clarion Church of Christ officiating. Mrs. Claire McOllough sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross," accompanied by Juanita Richardson. Burial was in the Clarion Evergreen cemetery.

Lucy Anna Fritz was born Jan. 12, 1903, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fritz of Ocheyedan. On Sept. 27, 1919, she was united m marriage to Luke Armstrong of Worthington, Minn. The couple established their home at Ocheyedan, later at Worthington, Minn., and in 1923 moved to Clarion where they have resided since. Eight children were born to this union: Charles, who died in infancy; Robert of Eagle Grove: Raymond of Worthington, Minn.; Chester of Algona; Mrs. Mary Kerch of Crystal Lake; Ilene, Marjorie and Ralph at home. She also had seven grandchildren. Her husband, her mother and three sisters and seven brothers also survive. The sisters and brothers are: Mrs. Mayne Goodrich and Mrs. Lilen Seline, both of Worthington, Minn.; Mrs. Muril Nelson, Pipestone, Minn.; Nathan Fritz of Excelsior. Minn.; Henry Fritz, Windom, Minn.; Sam Fritz, Bemidji, Minn.; Roger Fritz, Worthington, Minn.; Amos Fritz, Portland, Ore.; Victor Fritz, Lake Branson, Minn.; and Albert Fritz, Bronze Valley, Minn.
