Floross Grandgeorge Heslop

FLOROSS HESLOP
Floross Grandgeorge was born on July 9, 1909, the daughter of Louis and Lucy Hopkins Grandgeorge, at Eagle Grove, Iowa She received her education in the Eagle Grove School system, and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. She was united in marriage to Walter Heslop of Eagle Grove. She was widowed at a young age. She remained in Eagle Grove following the death of her husband and later moved to the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove.

Floross Heslop passed away at the Clarion Community Memorial Hospital on October 26, 1994. She had attained the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 17 days.

Survivors include her son, Walter Heslop and wife Phyllis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and daughter Mary Lou Ferris and husband Donald of Chanute, Kansas; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, David Grandgeorge; and a sister, Ruey Wade.

She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. Graveside services for Floross Heslop were held on Friday, October 28, 1994, at the Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield. The Reverend Patrick Nemmers of The Holmes Baptist Church officiated at the 10 a.m. graveside service.
