FRANCES LORRAINE ONEREM
Frances Lorraine Johnson was born February 3, 1897, the daughter of James Jessie and Effie Stryker Johnson at Eagle Grove. She received her education in the East Side School. Frances was united in marriage to Jacque "Jake" Onerem of Eagle Grove on August 20, 1917, in Eagle Grove. The couple operated the Ford Motor Dealership in Eagle Grove. After Mr. Onerem died in 1956, Frances opened a custom drapery shop, which she operated out of her home.

Her memberships included the United Church of Christ and the Eagle Grove Country Club.

Frances Lorraine Onerem died at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone, on December 29, 1989.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, Jack and wife, Alicia, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one granddaughter, Christine Lynn Aarm; two sisters, Geneva Middleton, Mason City; and Carol Griffith, Boone; and many nieces and nephews, including Patricia Griffith Smith of Boone.

Graveside services were held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove on January 2, 1990. The Rev. Jo Cassiday Maloney of the Eagle Grove United Church of Christ, Eagle Grove, officiated. The Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements
