23 July 1892 ---- 1 November 1956

Jacob C. Onerem, born at Thor, Iowa, July 23, 1892 to Jacob and Julia Onerem, died Thursday November 1, 1956 at a Fort Dodge hospital. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith in Thor Lutheran church. He attended schools at Thor, Humboldt, and Des Moines.

On August 20, 1917 he married Frances Johnson in Des Moines. For the most part they have made their home in Eagle Grove where for many years Mr. Onerem operated the Ford garage.

They have one son, Jack D. Onerem of Dayton, Ohio, and three grandchildren Alicia, Harold, and Christine. His wife, two brothers Sam and Andrew Onerem both of Thor, and a sister Mrs. Anna Merchant of Cedar Rapids also survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Trina, and two brothers Theodore and Adolph, the latter died just a few days ago with burial on Friday, October 26.

Funeral services at the Sacquety Chapel conducted by the Rev. Kenneth R. Torvik of Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church followed by interment at Rose Hill cemetery.
