Lilly Glendora Bullard Dasch Tate
27 February 1881 ---- 8 December 1953

Dora, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billiard, [Bullard] was born on February 27, 1881 in Clay county, Illinois, and passed away after a lingering illness at the home of her daughter Mrs. Oliver Allie of Eagle Grove, Iowa on December 8, 1953. At the time of her passing she was 72 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Her early life was spent on the farm in Clay county, Illinois. As a young girl she was united with the Mt. Olive Church of Christ near Noble, Ill. On December 7, 1898 she was united in marriage to Paul Dasch and to this union four children were born. They made their home on the farm in the vicinity of Noble, Ill., until the passing of Mr. Dasch in 1907.

On October 6, 1911 she was united in marriage to Lewis B. Tate of Bogota, Ill., and to this union four children were born. After about nine years in Illinois the family moved to Iowa living in Goldfield and near Hardy until 1920 when they retired and moved to Eagle Grove which has been their home ever since. Mrs. Tate became a member of the Church of Christ early in life and has remained a faithful member up until the time of her passing. Upon moving to Iowa she transferred her membership from the Illinois church to the Goldfield Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Dasch in 1907, also two sons James Russell Tate in infancy, and Luther L. Tate in 1951.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Lewis B. Tate, and seven children: Gertrude, Mrs. Oliver Allie of Eagle Grove; Howard Dasch of Kanawha, Iowa; Anna May Dalton, Stanton, Neb.; Paul E. Dasch of Woolstock, Iowa; Grace Shadle of Eagle Grove, Virgil F. Tate of Renwick, Iowa; and Dorothy M. Thompson of Oelwein, Iowa. Sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Tate was a loving wife, mother and friend. Her cherry smile and thoughtfulness towards others will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 11, 1953, at the Church of Christ, Goldfield, Iowa, with Rev. Charles J. Conger officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove.
