Miss Rebecca Jorstad, 75, died Friday night at the home of Mrs. Louise Barker following a long illness.

Miss Jorstad has made her home with Mrs. Barker for the past few years, and in 1956 suffered a stroke and had been ill since that time.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the Samuel Lutheran church, with Rev. B. F. Molstre officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Miss Jorstad is survived by two brothers, Peter Jorstad of Kansas City, Mo., and Ezra Jorstad of Marshall, Minn.

OBITUARY

Rebecca Jorstad was born of parents Ole and Julia Jorstad near Story City, March 25, 1883. She received Christian baptism at St. Paul Lutheran Church near Rosedale, north of Story City and was instructed in the Christian Faith. She came to Eagle Grove with her parents March 1, 1920 where she lived until her death Friday July 11, 1958 at 6:40 p.m.

Miss Jorstad has been of failing health and after her brother, Henry, passed away she went to live with Mrs. Louise Barker. In December 1956, she suffered a stroke and has been a bed patient since. Her death came very suddenly on Friday night when she suffered another stroke and in a few minutes she passed away.

She was a member of Samuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and was faithful as long as her health would permit her to be active.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ida and Margaret and one brother Henry. She is survived by two brothers, Peter of Kansas City and Ezra of Marshall, Minn.

Funeral services were held at Samuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Monday, July 14 at 10 a.m. Pastor B. F. Molstre officiated. Interment was made at Rose Hill cemetery.
