Ill Health for Past 10 Years Only Known Cause For Eagle Grove Man Destroyed His Own Life

Fred Waak, 45, took his own life at 7.30 Sunday morning. A 22 calibre rifle placed at his right temple was the means used in his self-destruction. Waak's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Waak, 720 North Wright were home at the time their son took his life. They had not gotten up and did not hear the shot, but were aroused when they heard the body fall. Dr. Martin was called and found that there was nothing that could be done, as life was extinct. Dr. H. P. Walker, county coroner and Sheriff Roy Wilson were notified and came over and made an investigation. Their decision was that it was a plain case of suicide.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev.
J. R. Tumbleson in charge.
