Mrs. Dora M. Waddell dies in Dows; burial here

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Mae Waddell, 88, formerly of Eagle Grove, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines and burial services were held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

Mrs. Waddell died Saturday at the Care Center in Dows after a lengthy illness. She had resided there for the past few years.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Joseph Wagner of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Lurleen
Hillman and Robert Waddell of Des Moines, and Carl Waddell who lives in California. Other survivors are eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Mrs. Waddell was a long time resident of Eagle Grove and her husband, the late W. W. Waddell, was in the hardware business in Eagle Grove for many years, in the location where the Sterling Hardware is now located. She lived in Des Moines for a few years before entering the Dows Care Center.
