William Benjamin Peterson, the son of Nels Peter and Frederica Peterson, was born at Goldfield, Iowa on January 3, 1904. He was married to Alice E. Kelling on Dec. 30, 1927. William Peterson died on June 6, 1990 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

He was a former resident of Eagle Grove and Goldfield and had moved to Springfield, Mo. in the spring of 1990. He was in the egg and poultry industry prior to his retirement. William was a member of the United Presbyterian Church at Goldfield.

Surviving him are his wife, Alice E. of Springfield, Mo.; three sons: Robert A. of San Antonio, Texas, Charles B. of Seattle, Wash., and David J., St. Cloud, Minn.; two daughters: Mary Pruis of Springfield, Mo. and Karen Peterson of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers: Clarence of Eagle Grove, Iowa and George of Clarion, Iowa; one sister, Edith Spangler of Eagle Grove, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Milton and Donald Peterson.

Funeral services for William Benjamin Peterson, 86, were held at the Goldfield United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield, Iowa, Saturday, June 9, 1990, with Rev. Victor Victoria officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
