ANNA NERVIG
Anna Labus was born March 5, 1909, at Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of John and Vera Labus. She attended the Sacred Heart Catholic school as a youth. She was united in marriage to Bernie O. Nervig of Thor, on June 26, 1936 at Eagle Grove. The couple made their home on a farm near Thor. In 1942, the couple moved to Eagle Grove and both remained there until Mr. Nervig's death in 1985. Anna continued living at their Eagle Grove residence until a stroke forced her to be sent to Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion on September 9, 1987. She died as a result of this stroke October 4, 1987. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Andrew. She is survived by one brother, Louis Labus, Eagle Grove; and one sister, Mary Pohlman, also of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held at the Samuel Lutheran Church Wednesday, October 7, 1987, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Carlton Shaw officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
