Alida Myklebust Hanson
21 January 1871 --- 21 October 1955

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Kastler Funeral home for Mrs. Aleta Hanson, 84, a former Eagle Grove resident.

She was the mother of Gerhard Hanson of this city. Mrs. Hanson died Friday night at the home of her daughter Mrs. M. J. Coppinger in Fort Dodge, after a month's illness. The Rev. B. F. Molstre officiated at the 2 o'clock service.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by her son and daughter, and five granddaughters, Mrs. Marvin Jones of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Theo. Essig Jr. of Lake City; Mrs. Glenn Orr of North Ridge, Calif.; Mrs. Gerald Anderson of Story City; and Mrs. W. R. Widell of Estherville. Five great grandchildren and a sister Inga Myklebust of Minneapolis also survive.

Mrs. Hanson born at Oslo, Norway, January 21, 1871, was the daughter of Peder and Margaret Myklebust. She received her education in the school of Norway and was married there to George Hanson. The couple came to this country in 1890 and resided in Eagle Grove for many years. Mr. Hanson died in 1940 and eight years ago Mrs. Hanson moved to Fort Dodge to make her home with her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Alice Marie, at the age of 6 in 1916, two brothers C. P. Myklebust and Burtel Mykleburst.

Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery and casket bearers were, Geo. Brown, Carl Sunner, O. L. Mandsager, Theodore Essig, Gerald Anderson, and Waldo Widell.
