Harry Anderson passed away at the Lutheran hospital in Ft. Dodge Saturday. Funeral services were held at the Kastler Funeral home and the Evangelical Lutheran church in Eagle Grove and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Harry Sanford Anderson was born March 7, 1891, near Eagle Grove. His parents were Alferd [Alfred], commonly called Fred, Anderson and his wife, Tina Anderson. He died in a Fort Dodge hospital on Saturday, November 1, 1947, at the age of 56 years, seven months and 25 days. He received Christian baptism in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church April 14, 1891. His mother died while he was very young and his father a few years later, but he found a good home, attended public schools and grew to manhood in Wright county.

He was united in marriage to Kathryn Sherman February 19, 1919. To this union was born a son, John Fredrick, but who died in infancy.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Anderson, by his step-mother, Mrs. Carrie Vaughn Anderson Lucas, and by two brothers; Earl Anderson of Goldfield, and William Anderson of Richmond, Calif. Also, by half brothers and a sister: Donald and Max Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif., Carlyle Anderson, Canada and Mrs. Averil Pouty, Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Anderson was a kind and friendly man, a good husband, a helpful and understanding neighbor. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was taken suddenly and seriously ill about a week before his death, and passed away very quickly.
