4 November 1910 ---- 26 July 1931

Robert Brooks died Sunday morning after an illness of several weeks duration. He was the youngest son of Condr. and Mrs. Charles Brooks of this city and was a likeable, congenial young man and will be missed by his associates. The family has the sincerest sympathy of their friends in the hour of their great sorrow.

Obituary

Robert L. Brooks was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, Nov. 4, 1910. He went as far as the tenth grade in our schools, then quit school and went to work. He worked as a section hand for the C. & N. W. Ry. He died Sunday morning, July 26, 1931, in Mercy hospital at Ft. Dodge, following an operation. At the time of his death, he was 20 years, 8 months, and 22 days old.

He leaves to mourn their loss his father and mother, one brother, Harold of Eagle Grove, two sisters, Hazel of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Mildred VanSickle of Humboldt, Iowa, one grandfather, one grandmother, one niece and several uncles and aunts.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Foil & Wilson funeral home at 2 o’clock. Rev. W. G. Muhleman, pastor of the Methodist church, preaching sermon. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
