Theodore C. Evans
20 June 1888 ---- 30 November 1976

Funeral services for Theodore C. Evans, 88, a retired Dows area farmer were held Friday from the First Lutheran Church in Dows with burial in the Fairview Cemetery. The Willim Funeral Home, Dows was in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 20, 1888 on a farm south of Dows and was the son of Gustav and Caroline Johnson Evans. He grew up to manhood in the area of his birth and was baptized and confirmed at the Otis Grove Lutheran Church. On March 20, 1912 he was married to Verda Opal Grove at the home of her parents near Clarion. They farmed south of Dows until retiring to town in 1952. For the past two months he had been a patient at the Heritage Home in Clarion where he died Tuesday, November 30, 1976.

Mr. Evans is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Carole Fitzgerald of Dows and Mrs. Doris Kornfeld, Los Angeles, California; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Dolter of Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters and his wife in March of this year.
