Ruby Chloe Moore Evans
17 May 1894 ---- 29 August 1999

Iowa Falls - Mrs. Ruby Evans, 105, of Iowa Falls died of a heart ailment Sunday at Scenic Manor Care facility there. Services will be Thursday at Popejoy United Methodist Church in Popejoy, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

Mrs. Evans was born in Towanda, Illinois and had lived and farmed near Popejoy many years before moving to the care facility in 1992. She was a homemaker and charter member of the Sunny Corner Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Echelberger of Iowa Falls and Mabel Gregg of Mason City; three sons: Burl of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Glen and Myron, both of Alden; a brother, Gilbert Moore of Philipsburg, Montana; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Linn's Funeral Home, Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Echelberger of Iowa Falls and Mabel Gregg of Mason City; three sons: Burl of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Glen and Myron, both of Alden; a brother, Gilbert Moore of Philipsburg, Montana; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion in 1955; two sons, Robert and an infant, Merle; five sisters: Jessie Hadden, Mabel Hadden, Mary Caldwell, Gertrude Caruth and Laura Caruth and three brothers: Percy, George and Dewey Moore.

Services will be Thursday at Popejoy United Methodist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Dows. Linn's Funeral Home, Iowa Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Evans attended Illinois State Teacher's College at Normal, Illinois and taught rural school in Franklin County for two years. She was a charter member of the Sunny Corner Club. She and her husband farmed southwest of Popejoy for a number of years.
