Mary Ruth Beyer Humphreys
18 May 1846 ---- 21 June 1926Mrs. C. C. Humphreys died Monday June 21 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Weinhold. She had been in poor health for some time and the end was not unexpected.
Mrs. Humphreys had been a resident of this community for the past 26 years. She had endeared herself to all, as was evidenced by the unusual number of courtesies shown her during her declining years. She never failed to express her appreciation of the evidence of the high regard in which she was held by her hosts of friends. On the occasion of her eightieth birthday about a month ago, she was delighted with the large number of calls from her acquaintances and with the other tokens she received which indicated she had not been forgotten.
All extend to the bereaved family their sincere sympathy in the hour of their great bereavement.
The funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Congregational church. Rev. F. B. Reeves, the new Congregational pastor, will have charge.
