Harvey Monroe Horton
23 August 1880 ---- 5 April 1926

Monroe Horton died in the hospital at Fort Dodge Monday morning following an operation for the removal of the appendix. The appendix had broken, and the doctors knew that a man in such condition could not live and so informed his relatives.

The body was brought to Eagle Grove in an ambulance and cared for at the Foil & Wilson undertaking parlor, where the funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon. The mother and fatherless children have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in the hour of their great sorrow.
