Resident of Wright County Since 1857 Buried in Rose Hill Cemetery Saturday.

Mrs. Patrick Brennan passed to her eternal reward Wednesday May 29 at the age of 93 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

Obituary

Bridget Downey was born in Ireland, July 15, 1826 [1835], and passed to her eternal reward at the age of 93 years, 10 months, and 14 days. She came to Scranton, Pa. at the age of 16 where she lived and was united in marriage with Patrick Brennen and moved with him to Wright county in 1857, where she lived and made her home with the exception of the last 22 months, due to failing health.

To this union were born eleven children, all but three having preceded her in death. Her husband also departed this life about two years ago.

She was one of the early pioneers, having reared a large family and sacrificed herself to the fullest of loving mother's devotion.

There are left to mourn their loss, two daughters, Mrs. E. P. Riley and family of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Mary Wilson, Chicago, Ill., one son, John Brennen, Eagle Grove, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Saturday with Roy Anderson officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Eagle Grove, June 7 - Funeral services for Mrs. Patrick Brennan, 94, were held at the Baptist church in charge of the Rev. E.A. Anderson, pastor.

Bridget Downey was born in Ireland, coming to this country at the age of 16. She lived first at Scranton, Penn. She was married to Mr. Brennan in 1857, and moved with him to Wright county, Iowa, in that year. Eleven children were born, three only surviving. Mr. Brennan died two years ago.

The surviving children are Mrs. E. P. Riley and John Brennan in Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Mary Wilson in Chicago. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
