Mary Boehrnsen Heslop
11 February 1882 ---- 5 January 1927

Mary Boehrnsen was born in Chicago, Ill., Feb. 11, 1882; passed to her eternal reward Jan. 5, 1927, at the age of 44 years, 10 months, and 24 days.

At the age of 15 years, she moved with her parents to Titonka, Iowa. On Feb. 28, 1903, she was united in marriage with Mr. Walter Heslop. After their marriage they came to Eagle Grove, where they have made their home ever since. To this union was born three boys: Wilbur, Harry, and Edward, all of Eagle Grove.

On the 21st day of November 1925, Mrs. Heslop was taken to the Fort Dodge hospital, where she underwent an operation from which she never recovered. At times, her pain and suffering has been indescribable, which she has borne with a courage and fortitude that is rarely equaled. She made a persistent struggle to regain her health in a spirit that was almost undaunted until her very last few days, when she realized that the end was coming.

She united with the First Baptist church of Eagle Grove in 1922. She was a devoted mother, having the interest of her home and family at heart at all times.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, her three sons, one brother, Henry Boehrnsen, of Chicago, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Albert Tjaden, of Slater, Iowa, and Mrs. Otto Wolf, of Eagle, Grove, Iowa, and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Friday afternoon. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
