David Edward DeNio
30 October 1947 ---- 7 October 1970

David Edward DeNio, son of Thurman and Carol DeNio, was born October 30, 1947 at Ellsworth Hospital in Iowa Falls. He died October 7, 1970 as the result of an automobile accident near Eldora, at the age of 22 years, 11 months.

Funeral services were held from the Dows Community School on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock and burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Services were also held at the same time and place for Kenneth R. Akers, who was killed in the same accident. Willim Funeral Home of Dows was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his parents; a brother, Douglas; sister, Susan; a sister-in-law, Lynne DeNio and a niece, Dawn DeNio. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Flossie Drury and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Allan DeNio of Galt.

David graduated from Dows High School with the Class of 1966, where he received football, basketball and scholastic recognition.

He graduated from Ellsworth Junior College and this past summer received his B. S. degree at Mankato State College in Minnesota. David was to report for duty in the Armed Services in mid-October.

David was a member of the First Presbyterian church at Dows and Boy Scouts of America. He was always industrious having worked as a paper boy, stock boy at Glade's Market and on the railroad at Bay City, Michigan.

Friends will remember David for his quiet, unassuming manner, but he was deeply involved with life and those around him who lived it.
