Paul Michal Kastler
20 March 1881 ---- 1 July 1923Conductor George Kastler died at his home in this city at 4:30 Sunday morning. While it was known that his health had not been the best, no one had any idea that his illness would prove fatal. He had but recently returned from a two-week fishing trip in Minnesota and only last Thursday returned from his last trip on the road. He was taken seriously ill Thursday evening and passed away early Sunday morning. He was a member of the masonic lodges and but recently with his family, united with the First Congregational church of this city. He was well liked and respected by both his fellow employees on the Northwestern and the officials of the road. He was a clean, square dealing young man and universal sorrow is caused by his untimely passing. He took great pride in his family and in his home and his leisure hours were spent in improving the home which he had purchased on North First Street East.
