May 13, 1907 --- June 22, 1997Mae Victoria Linnea Hall, 90, died Sunday, June 22, at Community Memorial Hospital in
Clarion. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 26, at First Lutheran Church in Clarion. Pastor Gary L. Boen officiated the 1 p.m. service. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery and Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.Honorary bearers were Ralph Borel, Charles Radechel and Daryl Reiland. Casketbearers were Kenneth Adams, Kenneth Norem, Dwight Tew, Jon Lennarson, David Thompson and William Dettman. Shelby Wiethom was organist and Phyllis Wolf the vocalist.
Mae Victoria Linnea Hall was born May 13, 1907, the daughter of Frank and Mary Carlstrom Hall at Boxholm and received her education in Boone County. On December 23, 1926, she was united in marriage with Ernest F. Wenger at Trinity Lutheran Chruch in Boxholm. They were the parents of three children and lived at Grand Junction and Gowrie before moving to Clarion in 1959. Ernest died December 11, 1968.
Those left to cherish her memory are children -Joyce Bilharz and husband, Les of Omaha, Nebraska; Elwyn and wife, Julie of Payette, Idaho; Sharon Carlson and husband Willis of Fort Dodge; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elin McFarland of Boxholm. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers - Floyd, Gilbert, Clarence and Fred; three sisters - Frances, Lavina and Ruby.
Mae was a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church and the ladies groups of the church.
